The David Jones Society welcomes new members. Our members come from many different countries and backgrounds, including academics and critics (both literary and visual art), artists and poets, collectors, historians, representatives of institutions, and others who appreciate the paintings or poems of David Jones. What all our members have in common is an interest in Jones's work and a desire to increase their awareness and understanding of it.

 

Membership of the Society is by subscription, renewable annually on 1st November. Rates for 2007/08 are £20 for individuals and £35 for corporate members.

 

Membership benefits include regular newsletters (in electronic or paper format as preferred), a copy of The David Jones Journal (published annually), invitations to Society seminars, conferences and events, and notice of relevant exhibitions and publications.  All members are invited to submit articles and reviews to be considered for publication in the Journal, and to propose papers or readings to be presented at Society events. Whilst some events are free, a small charge is levied for others (such as conferences) to cover room hire, technological, staffing and catering costs.
